Shepherd's Haven CDC
Our dedicated team is passionate about creating opportunities, empowering youth, and building stronger communities. Together, we work to advance the mission of Shepherd’s Haven CDC through mentorship, education, and community development.
Samuel founded Shepherd's Haven CDC to create a safe space for youth and families to grow, thrive, and achieve their goals. With over 21 years of service as an Army veteran and a heart for community development, he leads SHCDC with a commitment to faith, stewardship, and empowerment.
With 17 years in the nonprofit sector, including leadership experience with organizations focused on health and wellness, Lakisha brings extensive expertise in supporting vulnerable populations. She is passionate about creating Adventures for families navigating life-threatening conditions, ensuring they experience moments of joy, connection and hope.

What kind of mentorship does SHYEP provide?
SHYEP pairs participants with experienced mentors from a wide range of industries. These mentors provide guidance, advice, and support to help you explore career paths, set goals, and develop the skills needed for professional success.
Do I need prior business experience to join Future Rich Uncles (FRU)?
No prior business experience is required to join FRU! The program is designed to support individuals at all stages of their entrepreneurial journey. Whether you're just starting a business or looking to grow an existing one, FRU offers the mentorship, networking, and training you need to succeed.
